The Children's Home has a long history of providing outstanding residential and community services to Maryland’s young people and families. Since 1863, the Home’s mission has been to serve neglected, abused, or abandoned children by creating a safe home where they can feel secure, nurtured, and have a sense of belonging.

With vision and careful planning, The Children's Home launched the most ambitious endeavor in its history – to transform the campus to meet the increasing need for residential services for young people who experience disruption in their lives.

The Diagnostic Center opened April 2008 offering housing and sophisticated treatment services for at-risk girls ages 13 - 19. The Center compliments the existing continuum of care and enhances our mission of providing the highest standard of comprehensive services. The Diagnostic Center represents a new beginning for many of Maryland’s most vulnerable females between the ages of 13 - 19. This airy and home-like facility features:

• Comprehensive diagnostic and assessment care
• Crisis intervention, serving as a statewide resource
• All-inclusive care under one roof
• Continuum of care provided by Maryland's leading healthcare providers
• Handicapped accessibility and state-of-the-art safety features
• 16 individual bedrooms

Fulfilling Our Promise Donor Wall
Naming opportunities exist for leadership gifts between $1,000 and up for individuals, businesses and foundations. Lead gifts will be prominently recognized on the Capital Campaign Donor Wall.

The Children’s Home is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All gifts to the Fulfilling Our Promise campaign are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
