Child Care Specialists

General Description:  Child Care Specialists are responsible for monitoring resident behavior and activity and relaying appropriate information to members of each resident’s multi-disciplinary team. The CCS is responsible for following each resident’s program plan to ensure that the therapeutic, educational, and personal needs of all residents are met. The CCS is responsible for following TCH procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the residential and education programs and the safety and health of all residents. 

Requirements: CCS I requires an associate's degree with at least two years of experience working with emotionally disturbed children or applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of child development experience. CCS II requires  requires a BA/BS degree in an appropriate human services, education, or health field.
 
Hours: Various full-time and part-time positions available.  Mainly overnight and weekend shifts.
 
  
  
Therapeutic Case Manager - Transitions / Diagnostic
General Description:  A full-time Therapeutic Case Manager position is available in The Children's Home Transitions Program.  This position is responsible for managing all aspects of a child's treatment in foster care, liaison with team members in the community, and some licensing duties.
 
Requirements: A Masters Degree in Social Work or related field, preferred and licensed LGSW, LCSW-C, or LCPC.  Also requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children, adolescents and families.  Strong clinical skills with emphasis on special needs children who are emotionally, behaviorally, and/or developmentally delayed or impaired.
 
Hours:  Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
 
 
Human Resources Generalist
This position will be responsible for all human resources related activities for the organization, including recuitment and selection, benefits management and administration, compensation, performance management, and training and development.
 
The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree in HR or a related field and significant work experience in the areas of responsibility for this position.  PHR, SPHR, and/or CEBS certifications preferred.
 
 
Part-time Nurse
The Children's Home has an opening for a part-time nurse (preferred hours are 3:30pm - 7:30pm several times a week, including a Saturday split shift). Applicants most hold a current license as a RN or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the State of Maryland Board of Nursing.  Prior experience working with youth in a psychiatric setting and/or experience in community health systems is required.  This position is responsible for administering medical care, medications & treatments in accordance with physician orders, following nursing procedures according to the State of Maryland regulations and maintaining the proper administration procedures.
