1. What refreshments will be available during the event?
Local Catonsville restaurants will be providing a selection of delightful refreshments to satisfy your taste buds and enhance your experience at the event. Enjoy a variety of delicious bites that showcase the vibrant culinary landscape of the community. We’re grateful for the support of Atlantic Food & Spirits, Charlsie’s Bakehouse, Doozy’s Diner, Jennings Café, Sugar Bakers Cakes, Whitehouse Caterers, & 4 House Pit Beef for their commitment to making this an enjoyable event.
2. Where can I park for the event?
Parking will be available in the Home’s west field, alongside Bloomsbury Avenue. To access the field, enter through the campus main entrance, take the first left, and then turn left into the field. Signs will be posted to help guide the way. For those with decreased mobility, reserved spots in the center of the campus will ensure easy access to the event venue.
3. Is there a specific dress code for the event?
The dress code for the event is business attire. We encourage you to remember, however, that our 44-acre campus has wide stretches to cross during the tour, so please dress for the elements.
4. Will there be any musical entertainment?
Absolutely! The acoustic duo “Deb and Gary” will be providing delightful musical entertainment, adding a harmonious touch to the evening’s ambiance.
5. Is there an entry fee for the event?
The event is free for all attendees as we celebrate The Children’s Home’s 160th Anniversary. However, to support our mission and ongoing programs, we kindly invite you to consider making a donation of $50 per attendee. Your contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children we serve.
6. Can I explore The Children’s Home campus during the event?
Certainly! Guided tours will be available, showcasing various highlights of The Children’s Home campus. Explore new facilities such as the hair salon, horse arena, and a typical cottage. Additionally, discover creative spaces like the music and arts studio that contribute to the nurturing environment we provide.
